The illustrations and text shown above were created by my father, John R. Martinez. My father was a graphic designer, illustrator, typographer, photographer, painter, sculptor, and pretty much master of all things creative. (I grew up assuming all fathers could hand-letter in Bodoni – both Roman and Script; for example, the name tags on my duffel bag going to summer camp looked like someone had professionally printed my name and address on the canvas.) I miss him terribly, but look forward to spending more time with him in Heaven. – Neil C. Martinez
